Fortis Sports Performance is Atlanta’s home for elite athlete care.
Fortis teaches athletes how to train harder, recover stronger, and play longer. Whether you are returning from injury, pushing through the season, or preparing for the next step, Fortis gives you the tools, knowledge, and environment to train like a pro before you are one.
We bring recovery, training, and performance together under one roof to help athletes train harder, recover stronger, and play longer.

Andrew Wolverton, DPT, OCS
Founder & Clinical Director
-
Andrew Wolverton is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), and former professional soccer player with extensive experience working with soccer athletes across the full spectrum of development. His background uniquely combines elite-level playing experience, advanced orthopedic training, and years of hands-on soccer performance coaching both on the field and in the clinic.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Andrew attended St. Pius X Catholic High School and played elite youth soccer with Concorde Fire Soccer Club. He went on to compete as a goalkeeper at the NCAA Division I level for Penn State University, earning national recognition before signing professionally with LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer.
Following his professional playing career, Andrew earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mercer University, where he completed advanced orthopedic training and achieved his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification. Since then, Andrew has spent years treating and training soccer players ranging from youth and high school athletes to collegiate and professional players. His work spans clinical rehabilitation, return-to-play progression, and on-field soccer performance training focused on speed, agility, power, and movement efficiency.
Andrew has extensive experience designing and implementing soccer-specific performance programs, integrating data-driven movement analysis, injury prevention strategies, rehabilitation, and strength and plyometric training. His ability to translate clinical findings into effective on-field performance work allows athletes to move seamlessly from rehab back into competitive play with confidence.
Andrew founded Fortis Sports Performance to bridge the gap he repeatedly saw between traditional physical therapy and soccer performance training. Fortis was built to provide athletes with the same level of individualized care, sport-specific programming, and recovery resources used in professional soccer environments. At Fortis, Andrew leads a fully integrated rehab-to-performance model designed to help soccer players recover faster, move better, and perform at their highest level.
Andrew’s mission is to support long-term athletic development by delivering professional-level care, performance training, and education to every athlete who walks through Fortis’ doors—on the field and beyond.
